No, Yitz

Yitz,

Wouldn’t it be lovely if Zelig and you soaked in soup super glue

And rebounded the shape of this awful filth hate

For this man howls like a cow, in the darkest loose sky

And mopes at your friends

Yitz, should one act like this, how?

Please …

Go walk in the streets

Go walk in the streets

Go walk in the streets – and give him a twinkle nudge, nudge

Go walk in the streets

Don’t walk like Old Grandpa Hood

Go walk in the streets

Go be as brave as you could

Even I, I do shiver when I come by his tail

Please, oh why

Why does he walk sideways from Yitz?

Yitz, no why

Why do you slip like the grease of off cheese

Yitz, come Yitz

Get up as fast as speed nails

Get out of bed, your quilt is as thick as snow whales!

Never a time has a story been an ink of one say

Never another man has fiddled with the hands of two men

The deed is great!

… Four dogs will bark for your pride

Our eyes look up – Yitz, do something – help!

Sometimes we are involved in strife and the conflict is not due to our actions – the other fellow is to blame. However, this may not always be the case; perhaps it is for us to initiate peace.
